Recharge : Day 10 March Meet The Maker

Today's prompt is recharge.  That's an easy one. I recharge in three ways

1. Prolonged sleep is my superpower.  If time and workload allows, I can EASILY sleep for 24+ hours in one go.  Doesn't happen often, but it's such a treat when it does!  I may wake briefly for a pee.  If Mr No Books is around, I may be lucky enough to get a cup of tea in bed, before dropping off again.  But yeah, sleep.  The ultimate recharge!

2. Working out.  Regardless of how much work I have on, I 'allow' myself at least one gym class a day.  If I'm super busy, I'll be up about 5.30am, to workout for an hour or two before hitting my desk for the rest of the day.  Or I'll go to the gym after work, which forces me to stop and leave the house. And many days, I allow myself the time and space to workout at both ends of the day - something I didn't 'allow' myself for many years, as I built No Books, and now thank myself for, every single day.

3. Long walks are my other go-to for recharging.  Now we have a young dog in the house again, I walk a good hour every day, with a few 10-15 mile walks thrown in throughout the week, as and when I have the time.  I never wear earphones when walking, I love to just hear the birds, the sea, even the traffic.  It's very grounding and mindful for me, and whilst other people talk about how they get a chance to think through problems and such, when walking, I find that 90% of the time, I'm thinking about nothing more than what I'm seeing/hearing/feeling in that moment, so my brain is practically empty.  Which is lovely!

I'm taking part in this year's March Meet The Maker. It's primarily an Instagram thing, with the focus being on telling your story via photos.  You might have noticed, I take shite photos, but I can ramble on in type for ages haha So I'm going to mostly take part, right here, on NoBooksBlog.co.uk
