  • Triquetra : : Hand folded into the pages of a book

    Triquetra symbol

Most familiar to me as a widely used design in Pictish & Celtic art and masonry,  the triquetra is an ancient symbol with a myriad of different interpretations.   Amongst others, it can be seen as a sign of:

•The Father, Son & Holy ghost
    •Love, honour & obey
    •Maiden, Mother, Crone
and has been adopted by countless films & TV shows.

I create these by carefully hand folding the individual pages of books.  Just folding.  I do not cut or carve my books in any way.

Photos shown are of past pieces, most of which have gone to their new forever homes.
Exact colours and final appearances naturally vary from book to book.
