"Slàinte" : : Hand folded book art : : Good Health : : Scottish Irish Gaelic

£35.00

"Slàinte" created by my careful hand folding of the pages of a book.

Used in both Scot's and Irish Gaelic, Slàinte (pronounced "slangh-ah"), this is generally heard and used during a toast, as a direct replacement for 'cheers', as the glasses chink.  It's a shortened version of "slàinte mhath" or "slàinte mhaith", meaning "Your good health"

A real conversation piece of art ♥
Photos shown are of past pieces, most of which have gone to their new forever homes.
Exact colours and final appearances naturally vary from book to book.
