A stylised Caduceus, created by my hand folding the pages of a book.
Generally as being a symbol of the medical profession, this widely recognisable symbol seems to have originated as being the symbol of the Greek God Hermes. As with most symbols, it can mean different things to different people across the globe, as well as being very similar to other symbols in look. And so continues my fascination with symbols and their [often indeterminate] origins!
A timeless symbol which will continue to inspire and fascinate for centuries to come.
Ideal gift for any of our medical angels.
No cuts, no glue, no trickery...even my multi-line designs are created from careful hand folding of one book's pages.
Photos shown are of past pieces, most of which have gone to their new forever homes.
Exact colours and final appearances naturally vary from book to book.
