Oh my goodness!
Has it REALLY been that long, since the last NoBooksBlog!?
I mean, if you saw the previous one, from March, you'll know why things are a bit 'off' on the ol' marketing front; but jeez. Four months since updating? Bloody awful!
Things are ticking over nicely here at No Books HQ. So far, not the usual onslaught of wedding themed folds, which is odd, but everything else is pretty much normal :-) Sitting nicely in that "pretty busy, but not working 18 hours a day to keep up" bubble ♥
I haven't got much to tell ya. I probably do, but it's 25° here, which is around 10° higher than I would ever thank you for. So my brain is a slight puddle of too-hot-ness, and isn't working properly right now hahaha

So, to placate the Blog Gods, here's a photo of me with my new bike. And ridiculous looking helmet. I don't really love cycling. I associate it with times past, where my car's been in the garage, and I've had to bike in and out to town, as a mode of transport, rather than as a chosen leisure activity. But, I took a notion to give it another bash, and because my last bike rusted away years ago (I actually chucked it in the boot of my very old car, when the scrapyard came to collect her haha), I scanned second hand posts, and found this very pretty, very auld wifie, built for comfort, not for speed, step through bike. Rode it a short ride home (only about 3 miles).
Went out for a proper ride yesterday, only planning to be out for 45 mins or so. Got three miles away, chain came off, I realised that I have never in my life put a chain back on a bike. Couldn't really reach the chain bitty cos of the very pretty chain guard cover thing. Didn't want to pull out my phone to google what to do, because, obviously, the heavens opened at the exact time the chain slipped. No choice but to walk home. In the rain, wearing my shorts and vest. But it's OK, the rain stopped, and instead, my sunscreen melted in the muggy summer afternoon heat, and every fly in the vicinity became stuck to my damp greasy skin. As I pushed my bike the 3 miles back home. Resisting the urge to dump it in a bush, and wishing Greenflag covered bikes - maybe they do?! I mean, I have multi vehicle cover, right?!
I'm sure it gets better, yeah? :P
